Open Group

The Open Group is a global consortium that has more than 807 members. Its members are customers, systems and solutions suppliers, tool vendors, integrators, academics, and consultants, and span multiple industries. The purpose of the The Open Group is to enable the achievement of business objectives through technology standards.

One of The Open Group's initiatives in the Security Forum. This is a vendor-neutral environment where security professionals can come together to learn from and influence one another, grow and network, discuss and debate important topics in security. The Security Forum produces general-purpose intellectual property theory, principles, white papers, best practices, and standards.

The Security Forum has a focus on Zero Trust. In fact, core ideas for Zero Trust were first elucidated by the Jericho Forum, which later merged with the Security Forum. The current working group associated with the Security Forum is the Zero Trust Security Architecture Working Group.
